WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS TREK?
Parvati valley, located in Kullu district (Himachal Pradesh), draws its name from the Parvati river flowing through the valley. Though the expansive valley encompasses various villages; the three most popular are Kasol, Tosh, and Kheerganga. A 3-day trip to the Parvati is recommended for the first time hikers. It starts at Kasol and offers short treks to Tosh and Kheerganga.
The KTK circuit is widely popular for its dense pine forests, natural hot water springs (Manikaran & Kheerganga), glistening waterfalls (Rudranag), short hikes, pleasing little villages (Kalga, Pulga, Tulga) and the valley’s outrageous natural beauty. The crisp mountain air coupled with the smell of burning herbs coursing through the surroundings makes Kasol the so-called “Amsterdam of India”. One should also take a short hike to Malana from Kasol to experience the centuries-old local Malana culture. This trek offers spellbinding views of the mountains, a plethora of undisturbed flora and a chance to taste the exciting local cuisine.
